I am so excited that Laguna Niguel, CA has been chosen as one of the 100 cities that will participate in a special screening of the documentary Wretches & Jabberers!!
I hope that anyone who lives near Orange County will join us on Thursday evening, May 12 at 6:30 pm at the Regency Rancho Niguel Theatres to view Wretches & Jabberers. Well, it is so good to be back online! Thank you all for your patience while my website was being updated these past few weeks. One thing that I'd like to share since I last posted is our success with using Meditation as a means to self-regulate.
As with anything new that we introduce, it did take several weeks before listening to the Meditation CDs began to "work". We put them on a night while Nick is lying in bed trying to relax and go to sleep. They simply play in the background for him. Eventually, he began to REQUEST "meditations" at night! We have been listening to the same 4-5 different meditations consistently for the past 12 months.
A few of the anecdotal results that we've experienced include:
We used a series by Father Justin Belitz, OFM, who is a Franciscan priest and a cousin of ours! You can find Fr. Justin's Meditation Series at www.fr.justin-hermitage.org

Well, it is so good to be back online! Thank you all for your patience while my website was being updated these past few weeks. One thing that I'd like to share since I last posted is our success with using Meditation as a means to self-regulate.
As with anything new that we introduce, it did take several weeks before listening to the Meditation CDs began to "work". We put them on a night while Nick is lying in bed trying to relax and go to sleep. They simply play in the background for him. Eventually, he began to REQUEST "meditations" at night! We have been listening to the same 4-5 different meditations consistently for the past 12 months.
A few of the anecdotal results that we've experienced include:
- A more relaxed, and less anxious start to the school year.
- Less time out-of-class due to anxiety induced melt-downs.
- Decreased duration of melt-downs when meditation CDs are put on at the same time.
- Decreased frequency of melt-downs in general, both at home and at school.
